Course Description ICS 100, Introduction to the Incident Command System, introduces the Incident Command System (ICS) and provides the foundation for higher level ICS training. This course describes the history, features and principles, and organizational structure of the Incident Command System. It also explains the relationship between ICS and the National Incident Management System (NIMS). ICS 700, this course introduces and overviews the National Incident Management System (NIMS). NIMS will provide a consistent nationwide template to enable all government, private-sector, and nongovernmental organizations to work together during domestic incidents. Target Audience: All personnel with a direct role in emergency preparedness, incident management or response must complete the training. Included below are additional guidelines to assist you in determining the type of individual by position who should take the IS-700& 100 training. FEMA certificates of completion will be issued upon completion of these classes. These are certificates are issued through ICCC Homeland Security Center.
