Course Description: The new user training will equip those involved with notifiable disease surveillance - laboratory, infection control, or local public health staff - with the necessary understanding to effectively use the new Iowa Disease Surveillance System to report disease activity as well as streamline public health investigation. This training session includes all the information provided in the refresher training plus a hands-on module where participants will be able to work with a training version of the system.
Training Objectives:
*Introduce users to the Iowa Disease Surveillance System
*Provide hands-on experience creating cases, events, and generating reports.
*Provide detailed information on specific fields and tabs in the system
