This is a Two day workshop regarding Fatality Management key concepts and planning implications for responding agencies. The second half of Day 2 will involve planning time with county partners.

Goals and Objectives
Day 1 Objectives:
• Participants will be able to describe mass fatalities.
• Participants will be able to describe what a Family Assistance Services Center provides.
• Participants will be able to list implications of mass fatalities following an active shooter incident for hospitals, public health, and emergency management.
• Participants will demonstrate knowledge of behavioral health concerns associated with a mass fatality incident.
• Participants will list components of Psychological First Aid.
• Participants will be able to describe a real-world incident and implications for local planning.
Day 2 Objectives:
• Participants will describe specific mass fatality issues associated with hospitals.
• Participants will demonstrate knowledge of fatality management surge capacity Issues
• Participants will list implications of Family Assistance Planning within each responding agency.
• Participants will describe the components of integrated community planning and multi-agency resources.
• Participants will list the benefits of working with a company to clean up residences and other facilities after a mass fatality event.
• Participants will be able to demonstrate knowledge of their specific county partners’ responsibilities during a mass fatality event.
Prerequisites
You must complete ICS 100, ICS 200 and ICS 700
